At Fils Métalliques Berthier (FMB), occupational health and safety are top priorities. We are committed to creating a safe and secure working environment for our employees through various measures.

One notable initiative is the introduction of foot protectors for tube trolleys. These devices, called foot guards, have been specially designed to prevent accidental rolling of trolleys over an employee's foot during use, thereby reducing the risk of injuries.

Additionally, we have implemented a mobile guard for drill press operations. This guard restricts access to the drill bit when the machine is in operation, preventing potential accidents for operators.

The unique design of push-button handles for resistance welders represents another significant advancement. This specialized tooling allows for safer and more controlled use of the equipment, minimizing risks associated with welding operations.

To reduce noise levels in the factory, we have soundproofed the compressor. This measure has created a more pleasant and quieter working environment for employees in the factory.

In response to the "horseshoe" layout of a factory area, we have implemented clear signage and marking of traffic zones. These delineations clearly distinguish areas reserved for forklifts from pedestrian zones. Given our extensive workshop with high-speed production capacity, smooth and safe traffic flow is essential.

FMB does not stop there! Among ongoing projects is the improvement of compressor access with the addition of a walkway. This initiative aims to facilitate maintenance interventions while ensuring technician safety.

During the latest inspection visit, the occupational health and safety inspector highlighted our proactive approach to managing health and safety at work. He commended our recent innovations as concrete actions that strengthen the safety of our team.

All these changes reflect FMB's commitment to promoting a safe and caring work environment, while continually improving measures for employee well-being.
